Dear players,
On November 22, 2020, the changeover to the new World Handicap System (WHS) took place with the conversion of all available results data from previous years.
If you plan to play a GJG event or have already signed in for a tournament, please make sure, that your HCP is adpated according to WHS. GJG will no make any changes, this must be done by each player individually.
There has been a change in the sign of the handicap. Players whose handicap strokes are less than the course standard PAR (i.e. formerly plus handicappers) now have a negative handicap, recognizable by the “minus sign” in front of the number (e.g. -3.7).
Players who get handicap strokes in addition to the course standard (formerly minus handicappers) no longer have a sign or a positive sign, ie “+”. Please check your player profile and update your HCP according the new WHS. The correct HCP in your Global Junior Golf account is very important, since this can have a significant impact on the starting list, as we start the first two tournament rounds according to the new WHS specifications.
For further questions about your handicap, please contact the respective home club or the respective national association.
We look forward to an exciting Global Junior Golf season.
Stay healthy and we look forward to hopefully seeing you all again soon.
best regards
Team GJG
